CRITICISE ME IF YOU CAN, BUT PLEASE DON’T PRAISE ME:

“The fittest person survives! The fighting man succeeds! He who Fights to Fit, will Survive to Succeed!” - Israelmore Ayivor

CRITICISE ME IF YOU CAN, BUT PLEASE DON’T PRAISE ME:
In life's journey, we tend to be happy when people shower praises on us. The truth is no one like to be criticised. There is nothing wrong with shower of praises by friends and well-wishers. But what is wrong is that at the end of it all, we tend to get pompous and arrogant because of the praises. This eventually leads to the downfall of the person.
Criticism is necessary, though it may not go well with some people because it will compel you to improve in whatever you are doing. Though the person who criticised you might have succeeded in hurting your feelings, especially your mind and behaviour.  How you react to it, well determine the effect it will have on you.

Again if you look closely, friends who rain praises on you are doing it for the purpose of flattery.  Flatters make you unserious and lazy and it will not move you to improve on your work. Most times, the best of friends are your worst enemies for they are blind to your weakness and the rain praises on you.

INTRODUCTION TO MY BLOG

DAY ONE: Today's Quote:  “I want the world to be better because I was here.” Will Smith  INTRODUCTION TO MY BLOG  As the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of a magazine, I read a lot.  Amongst the things I do and find interesting is reading personal development books, listening to inspiring audio programmes and writing motivational materials. Over the years I have built up quite a wealth of knowledge on the subject of motivation and personal development. The urge to start this blog arise with my belief that there is need for me to contribute my knowledge to the society. We are living in a world and last time when there is almost no safe place on earth. Every day, we wake up with negative news from newspapers, radio and television.   Life in every city has become so stressful and very dangerous. News of violence, wickedness, injustice, threat of terrorist strike, natural disaster, and many others saturate everywhere. It’s like there is no safe place any...

LIFE IS LIKE A RIVER

DAY THREE: Today's Quote: . “Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith.” Steve Jobs What a beautiful day, thank you Lord for this day. My topic for today is “life is like a river”. First let's look at the definition of life. Life means the existence of an individual human being or animal. Back to the question, how do I see life? I see life like a river flowing on and on, always changing. Your life begins small, just like drops of rain which turns into small streams and eventually great rivers which flow into ocean.  From birth, we were not given a map or guideline on how to go about life. Because we are ignorant of this journey, we are bound to face challenges and obstacles. Living on earth requires that we must expect the unexpected and be prepared for the unknown. There is nothing you can do about it; it is the nature of life. In life, each of us will face some type of crisis and in most cases; we have no personal control over it. Sadly eno...

WHY YOU MUST COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

DAY TEN: Today's Quote: "It's never too late. Don't focus on what was taken away. Find something to replace it, and acknowledge the blessing you have"-. Drew Barrymore I want to begin by thanking Almighty Lord for my life and for everything and for making me the same person I am today. It's a pity that millions of people go through life searching for the next big thing and trying to be the biggest or the best at everything and they fail to take time and be grateful for the small everyday blessings that God gives in life. Father Lord I just want to say “thank you” I hope today's article will inspire you to be grateful for the good things in your life and stop complaining  about the bad things. WHY YOU MUST COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS: when you look round and take a closer look of yourself, you will agree with me that there are many things to be grateful for. There are so many things to thank God for what he has done for you. If you wake up and you have ...
